The helpless feeling of society being overwhelmed with no way of fighting back is true horror. Man has always fought for survival against the unrelenting power of nature. The air, land, and sea are full of creatures that don't mesh well with humans and can pose a deadly risk. Jerry and Matt look at two films where the forces of nature cause deadly consequences, Rogue (2007) and Cocaine Bear (2023).

Mother’s Nature

Mothers- the givers of life; the great nurturers. As we look back on Mother's Day we look at the mom's place in horror, from the Oedipal derangement of Norma Bates to the religious abuse of Margaret White to the vengeful murders of Pamela Voorhees, it has always been an important piece of great stories. Jerry and Matt look at the heroic Donna Trenton from Cujo (1983) and the vile and morally repugnant Ruth Chandler from The Girl Next Door (2007).

Massacre at the Mall

A place of gathering, community and consumerism can also be host to nightmare scenarios! Jerry and Matt go inside the mall and look at the dark and serious classic, Dawn of the Dead (1978) and the campy and fun cult classic, Chopping Mall (1986). Truly let the buyer's BEWARE!
